Phillips Mill Road Bridge

Project Info

The Kinsley highway and bridge team replaced a 62-year-old bridge over the stream of Winters Run. The bridge superstructure consists of a concrete deck placed over four, 30-inch by 36-inch, precast, pre-stressed, concrete box beams. The bridge substructure consists of reinforced concrete abutments with footings founded on micropiles.

The project included the following:

  • Reconstruction of 550 feet of approach roadway
  • Two large bio-swales for storm water management
  • Riprap for slope and channel protection
