PennDOT SR 425

Project Info

Kinsley replaced two bridges on PA State Route 425. The first bridge is located on Woodbine Road where it crosses Bald Eagle Creek. The second bridge, a more complicated project, is located where Furnace Road crosses Sawmill Run.

Our scope of work for both bridges included:

  • 450 linear feet of road reconstruction
  • Replacement of an open-grate bridge with a 12-foot by 14-foot precast box culvert
  • Replacement of a pipe culvert bridge with a 5-foot by 12-foot precast box culvert
  • Installation of new guard rails
  • Installation of R-4 slope protection
  • Coordination to relocate overhead electric service

To maintain the historic feel of the original bridge over Sawmill Run, the new box culvert’s wings were poured utilizing a stained concrete form liner.
