Frey Farm Landfill

Project Info

Kinsley’s resolved a capacity shortage at the 96-acre Frey Farm Landfill by vertically expanding the facility by 6.4 million cubic yards.

Our scope of work included:

  • A new mechanically stabilized earth berm, including excavation, backfill and fencing
  • Erosion and sediment control modifications and improvements
  • Installation of a 2.4-acre liner
  • Installation of a new leachate collection/conveyance infrastructure with a new storage tank

Manholes are used to monitor contaminated water flowing from trash piles into the treatment facility. In order to vertically expand the landfill, our team first moved an existing platform of manholes 150 feet.
