The Blue Moon restaurant, a fine-dining location in downtown York, planned to expand their lounge and dining area into a neighboring row home. After their first contractor abandoned the project, Kinsley was engaged to deliver the renovation and expansion while the restaurant remained open to patrons.

The scope of work included:

• Conversion of the row-home’s first-floor space into a bar and lounge area, including new bathrooms, food service areas and a redesigned rear-entrance.
• Renovation of the front entrance that maintained the building’s historic look.
• Alterations to the existing restaurant to connect the new space to the existing space, including demolition of a 25-foot section of the wall that separated the two spaces.
• All new mechanical systems were installed in the renovated unit, as well as a sprinkler system. The sprinkler system required the installation of a new water supply line across busy Market Street, which was self-performed by Kinsley.
